ON THURSDAY THE 7TH OF OCTOBER THE PLENARY MEETINGS OF THE THIRD SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION WERE HELD
The morning meeting was opened by the First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Lavrynovych. He announced that the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A. Yatseniuk have consultations with the President of Ukraine. O. Lavrynovych declared that there was no certain order and asked the leaders of the factions for the discussion and announced the break.
After the break the plenary meeting was conducted by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A. Yatseniuk. He stressed that there was no need in adoption of the agenda as "we have two choices. The firs one new coalition. The second one - pre-term cessation of authority of Ukrainian Parliament".
A. Yatseniuk stressed that "one should understand and realize that the destiny of the Ukrainian Parliament is in the hands of Ukrainian parliament. If the coalition is formed to the end of the current day, any discussion on this theme will be closed. If the coalition is not formed, there are all legal grounds to use item 90 of Constitution of Ukraine". The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that it is not possible to use the item 90 of Constitution of Ukraine without the consultations with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Vice-Chairmen and Leaders of Factions.
A. Yatseniuk disproved the fact that during the meeting with the President the words "dissolution" or "pre-term cessation of authority of Ukrainian Parliament" were announced.
Next, the representatives of the parties delivered speech and evaluated the present situation in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and in the country.
The morning meeting was closed by the Chairman.
At 16 p.m. the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, M. Tomenko announced the evening meeting and immediately announced it closed.
According to the calendar plan the next plenary meeting should take place on Wednesday, 8th of October.
